Mariah and Randy helped me plan the perfect Engagement Session for them, involving a cozy fire and the essential Hot Chocolate and Marshmallows!

I truly believe when you book a photographer you should be booking a professional. Someone who knows how to pose or prompt you, knows how to make you feel relaxed and even have fun. I also believe it is just as important to make the session special, what can I do to make your session one of a kind? Mariah and Randy came to me over a year ago when they got engaged, excited about the future and wanting to capture this next step. We shot some photos in a field and forest and ended the session overlooking the Peace Valley beside Taylor BC. Fast forward a year and they have decided on their date and are wanting something new. So we planned a session together that was them. Between the camp fire, smore making and hot Co-co sipping, it didn’t even feel like a photo session was happening. We finished off their shoot in Charlie Lake where we braved the warmer then usual weather to test the frozen lake.

What would your dream engagement shoot or just couple session be? I find that an adventure session where we travel somewhere new or of importance to you makes all the difference. I am so excited about all the destinations I have been for photography and all the up coming destination Weddings and shoots I will be going to in the future! If you want to climb a mountain for your session lets do it! I may have already done it once and ran into a grizzly bear so I think that’s like lightning, and one happens once! You want to run along the ocean or cozy in the dessert, let’s do it! Those have been some of my favourite places to shoot to date! For Mariah and Randy they put a lot of thought into where they wanted their wedding to be and decided on a stunning ranch where their guests could camp and breath taking landscape will be all around them! I can’t wait to capture their wedding next fall.
